Fanciful kicked off 2017 in good style by taking the valuable Mina Rashid handicap at Meydan, under a great ride by Daniel Muscutt who has stuck up a partnership with the son of Dark Angel for Touch Gold Racing.
Drawn 13 of 16 runners, he was settled in the rear, the pace was strong, coming round the final bend, he came down the outside of the whole field, picking them off one by one, quickening up and going on to win by a length.
This was an impressive performance by Fanciful Angel, covering more ground than anything else, to win comfortably.
