Al Asef re paid his owners patience yesterday by winning the 6 furlong, EBC Group Handicap at Wolverhampton.
Jockey Jack Mitchell gave the 6 year old son of Kyllachy an excellent ride after ending up at the rear of the field of 9 runners, he didn’t panic and sat quiet on Al Asef, let him find his stride and started to make his move 2 furlongs out, making a run down the outside of the field and he ran on well to win by a neck.
This was a great result for owner Mr Raed El Youssef and trainer Tom Clover.
It was Al Asefs’ third run for Tom and Jack after running two good races, it was lovely to see him get his head in front again.
