Barrel Aged followed up his New Year win with another by taking the Try Unibet’s Improved Bet Builder handicap at Kempton last night, stepping up to 2 miles for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lightly raced homebred was drawn 4 of 10 and was ridden again by Jack Mitchell for trainer Marco Botti and owner\/breeder AJ Suited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He jumped smartly and was restrained to get him dropped in to sit just behind the leaders who set a good gallop with him dropping to midfield after half a mile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He travelled sweetly and 2 out he was asked to come between horses, which he did readily and made smooth progress under an confident ride to get to the lead in the last half a furlong where he won by a length and a half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
