The exciting son of the El Catorce owned Sky Crystal has won the Jersey Stakes at Ascot, under a canny ride from Daniel Tudhope for trainer Richard Fahey and owners Clipper Logistics.
He was steadied at the start of the 7 furlong race, to race at the rear of the field of 18 runners, switched right two furlongs from home, he started to make steady progress, passing horses and closed on the leaders, to run on strongly to win by a head.
This was a great win for a horse that has been picking up black type this year and last year, for him to finally get the win he deserves!!
Sky Crystal has a two year old full sister to him that is in training and also a gorgeous yearling, half sister, by Exceed and Excel, who is heading for Book 2 at Tattersalls in October this year.
