Today was a great day for the El Catorce bred 2 year old’s.
Firstly, the son of Sky Crystal, Space Traveller won the ROA Novice Stakes at Doncaster over 61/2 furlongs.
Ridden by Danny Tudhope, and trained by Richard Fahey, he was held up, and asked for an effort 2 furlongs out, he was very green, but responded well and took the lead, still looking around and edging right, but was held together and ridden out hands and heels to win by 2 lengths.
Clipper Logistic’s bought him from Tattersalls book 3 sales for £85,000, last October.
We wish them good luck with him, he looks an exciting prospect!!
Later on in the evening, Cupboard Love got back to winning ways, with a nice win in the class 4, Longines Irish Champions Weekend EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes at Haydock over 7 furlongs.
She jumped out and made all to win by half a length, beating the well supported 6/5 favourite Frisella.
After not running up to her best at Ripon last month, she bounced back to form, running against her own sex again, and over a furlong further.
She looks like she can take another step forward form here, and it will be interesting to see where her trainer, Mark Johnston sends the daughter of Sri Kandi next.
