Thebeautifulgame won on her third start yesterday in the Byerley Stud British EBF Restricted Maiden Fillies’ Stakes at Sailsbury, run over 7 furlongs.
Drawn 10 of 13 runners, she jumped well and raced just behind the leader in the group towards the centre of the track. When the two groups merged 3 furlongs out, she made smooth progress with the favourite and the two fillies battled out the finish, with Thebeautifulgame being headed, but she showed a really good attitude to stick her head out and win by a neck under her regular jockey, Laura Pearson, with four and a half lengths back to the third.
This was a great result for her owners, The Tripletto Partnership And Partner and trainer Tom Clover.
