Al Barez won easily on only his second start yesterday afternoon at Yarmouth.

Drawn 8 of the 9 runners in the British EBF Novice Stakes over 6 furlongs, he was ridden by Jack Mitchell.

He jumped well and sat prominently travelling well, he got his head in front, where he stayed, drawing away from the rest of the field and winning by a good two lengths.

He always looked to be in command, and he looks an exciting prospect for owner Mr Raed El Youssef and trainer Tom Clover.
