Laheg got back to the winners enclosure yesterday after wining the feature race at Chelmsford.

The lightly raced colt was drawn 2 of 11 in the illuminate Christmas Ball Handicap which was run over 6 furlongs, and was ridden by Luke Morris.

He jumped well and Luke bustled him up to keep his position form a good draw, where he travelled well with the leaders. Turning for home, he was the last horse off the bridle, and when challenged on the inside, he dug deep and won by a short head.

This was only his third start this year and he looks to be progressing with each run for trainer Marco Botti and owner Mr Raed El Youssef.
