After being a little slow away, Antonio Fresu rode a patient and well timed race on Emdakam in this competitive mile maiden on the dirt. Settled in running at the back of the pack, Emdakam was faced with a wall of horses turning into the straight, forcing him to come wide up the middle of the straight. Once he had clear air, he took a while to go through the gears, but once he hit top speed, he easily galloped down the opposition to win going away by 2 lengths.
