Daysofourlives won on only his third start yesterday.

The son of Churchill had shown some promise on his two starts on the turf, and the penny finally dropped when he took the furlong, Unibet Extra Place Offers Every Day EBF Novice Stakes at Kempton.

There were 14 runners, he was drawn 9 and Jack Mitchell rode.

He jumped well and sat up with the leaders, travelling well. He came down the outside of the track and was asked to quicken 2 furlongs out. He responded well, galloping on, gradually wearing down the leaders and went on to win by a length  and a half from the favourite.

It was a great result for owner Raed El Youssef and trainer Marco Botti.

This was a very encouraging performance and he will now be put away for his winter break.
