Al Nayyir continues his impressive progress up the racing pole, to finish 3rd in the Group 3 Nad Al Sheba Trophy. Competing off level weights against Group 2 and Group 3 winners, he showed that he can mix it with the best. Given a much more assertive ride, AL Nayyir tracked the leaders through the race and followed the eventual winner, the 111 rated Siskany, as he kicked for home, maintaining his challenge all the way through to the line, and just losing out on second on the nod. It was enough to confirm his spot in the Gold Cup on Dubai World Cup night. Unbelievable pleasure and satisfaction when a plan comes together and we can make out owner’s dreams come true. Not bad for a horse that cost $10k, and has now won nearly $75k in prize money this season.
