Connected made a perfect start to handicaps by winning the Follow @theraces On Twitter Handicap at Wolverhampton last night.

The good looking son of Twilight Son was drawn 6 of 11 runners and was ridden by Danny Muscutt, and it was run over 7 furlongs.

He was a bit slowly away and had to be ridden to get a position where he settled around 5/6th travelling nicely with the two leaders setting a good pace

Coming round the home bend, he had to be checked, but once he got going again, he showed a really good attitude to go between two horses and hit the front in the last half a furlong to go and win readily, by just over a length.

He really looked like he enjoyed himself with the penny finally dropping in the last couple of furlongs.

He was the first winner for trainer Kevin Philippart De Foy for owner Mr Raed El Youssef, and lets hope there are many more to come.
