Al Barez backed up his two promising runs of 2024 with a decisive win at Kempton in the Virgin Bet Odds Daily Handicap ( London Sprint Series Qualifier) yesterday.
The lightly raced, well bred 5 year old was drawn 9 of 11 runners in the 6 furlong contest.
He jumped ok, was settled towards the rear of a very strongly run race, 2 out, Jack asked him for an effort, and he ran well, down the outside to wear down the leaders and score by a neck going away.
This was a great ride by Jack who knows the horse well having won on him twice before.
It continues the great start to the year for GEG sourced and managed horses, with Al Barez owned by Mr Raed El Youssef and trained by Tom Clover.
