Daysofourlives got his Saturday win this week by taking the PJ Towey Construction Handicap at Doncaster.

The class 2 handicap followed the St Ledger on the card.

He was drawn 3 of the 10 runners, the ground was good and he was ridden by Jack Mitchell.

He jumped well and was settled in the box seat on the rail just behind the leaders, where he travelled well throughout the race.

Two and a half furlongs out, Jack started to niggle him and ask for an effort, switched off the rail, and came between horses to chase the leaders.

He got his head down and strode out well to catch Liberty Lane in a perfectly timed ride to get his head in front on the line to win by a neck, possibly with a bit more up his sleeves than the winning margin suggests1

A great result for Trainer Marco Botti and regular rider Eric who show patience every day with him.

This was the 10th UK winner for Global Equine Group sourced horses, continuing the good year for owner Mr Raed El Youssef.
